Find stocks that traded quietly for 7+ of the last 10 days then suddenly spike in volume. Wyckoff-style regime change detection across 5,000+ stocks.
The Wyckoff method describes a key turning point called the 'change in character' — when a stock that has been trading quietly for an extended period suddenly behaves differently. Volume that was suppressed for days or weeks finally expands, and what was a forgotten name becomes the focus of new attention. This is what 'something just changed' actually looks like on a chart, and it almost always precedes a meaningful move. This scanner sweeps 5,000+ stocks for names that printed below-average volume on at least 7 of the last 10 sessions, then today's volume jumped to 2x+ the 50-day average. The result is a focused list of stocks where the regime has just shifted from accumulation/dormancy to active interest.
For change-in-character setups, an A+ grade means 9+ of the last 10 days were quiet (below 80% of average volume) followed by today's RVOL spike above 5x with a 5%+ price move. A grades require 8+ quiet days and 3x+ RVOL with confirming price action. B+ requires today's RVOL above 2.5x. B meets the 7-quiet-day, 2x RVOL minimum. This is not a prediction of future price movement — it is a way to prioritize which charts deserve your attention first.
